The Gainesville Convention and Visitors Bureau:

• Recruits and retains larger scale events, tournaments, and conferences through negotiation of host fees, rental venues, shuttle services, and promotional activities. The CVB is directly involved with more than 40 events annually!
• Heavily promotes Gainesville in 12 major print publications, digital and social media campaigns, website, and on-site presence at prominent events and public opportunities.
• Creates and continues tourism product development projects including updating and distributing thousands of visitors guides across the state, maintaining ExploreGainesville.org, developing digital/print self-guided tours, offering ambassador programs to frontline hospitality workers, creating state/regional trail maps, and welcoming visitors with helpful information and fun promotional items!
• Assists with funding capital improvement projects, namely Lake Lanier Olympic Park, to sustain large, multi-day events that bring overnight stays and economic impact to Gainesville.
