121st Infantry Regiment Send Off Ceremony – Cherokee Company

On Saturday, Jan 27th, you are invited to join The Cherokee Company of the Georgia National Guard for a special send-off ceremony march for the families of the soldiers who will be deployed for a year.
A rolling road closure from the Gainesville Police Department will lead the Infantry in their March to the ceremony. The infantry will march around the Historic Square via Main Street, Left onto Washington Street, left onto Bradford Street then into Roosevelt Square.
At 12pm, there will be a short ceremony in Roosevelt Square for their families.
After the ceremony, they will then march back around the square via Bradford, Washington, then Main Street to end their parade near the Main Street Parking Deck.
The community is invited to show your support with signs, flags, and waves around the Historic Gainesville Square! We hope you’ll join us and show support for our military and their families as they are deployed.
