The Northeast Georgia History Center is proud to partner with Atlanta Historic Dance to present the Fraser’s Ridge Wedding Ball! Time travelers, both real and fictional, are cordially invited to this extraordinary event inspired by the adventures of the beloved Outlander characters during their time in America. Step back in time and immerse yourself in the world of the Fraser family.

Dress Code: Guests are encouraged to wear 18th-century period clothing from any country or formal vintage outfits from the 1940s-1960s. Modern formal attire is also accepted.

This event is intended for guests 16 and older. Tickets are available for students, adult members, adult nonmembers, and VIP package.

Highlights:

• 18th-Century Dances: Be enchanted by an evening of 18th-century dance. English and Scottish country dances of the period will be called by Kat Nagar and Chris Wilson of Atlanta Historic Dance.
• Wedding Reenactment: Join us as we recreate a scene from the beloved series Outlander as Brianna and Roger wed in front of the historic White Path Cabin.
• Historic Cabin: Step into the past as you explore a genuine historic cabin on the premises: the White Path Cabin. Capture timeless memories with photographs in this rustic setting that harkens back to Claire and Jamie’s era.
• Blacksmithing Demonstration: Our resident blacksmith, Steven Bartlett, will be providing a blacksmithing demonstration in our historic Hoyt-Herrin blacksmith shop. Learn about blacksmithing practices at the time just like the character Murtagh Fraser used in the New World.
• Galleries Exploration: Delve into the rich history of the Northeast Georgia region by visiting the History Center’s captivating galleries. Discover artifacts and stories that transport you to a bygone era.
• Performance Pieces: The company of Atlanta Historic Dance will also perform several dances that bring the past to life.
• Game Room: Immerse yourself in the past with 18th-century games in a dedicated game room in our historic cabin. Challenge your fellow time travelers to traditional games from Claire and Jamie’s era.
• Refreshments: Savor delectable refreshments inspired by the time and setting of Outlander. Enjoy a taste of the past with a modern twist.
• Costume Contest: Come dressed in your best for our costume contest!
