Gainesville-Hall County’s Georgia Initiative for Community Housing (GICH) Team, along with the City of Gainesville and Hall County Government, will host its third annual Community Housing Festival from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Longwood Park.

Come enjoy free food, kids’ games and prizes as organizers share housing assistance opportunities and promote workforce development opportunities. Learn about services and programs offered by local agencies/nonprofits (i.e. public transportation, Meals on Wheels, advocacy, seniors, disabled, etc.) and what resources are available to assist the public with home repairs, paying rent and utilities, conserving energy, plus credit counseling, resume building, etc.

Lenders, builders, insurance agents and other representatives will also be on hand to answer questions and distribute important information.

Longwood Park is located at 20 Pearl Nix Parkway, Gainesville.
