Gainesville City Schools Athletics

Gainesville City Schools facilities, fields, venues and athletes are top caliber. Thirty-one State Championships have been won in baseball, boy’s and girl’s basketball, football, boys’ and girls’ golf, boy’s soccer, girl’s tennis and track.* Gainesville High School (GHS) offers state-of-the-art athletic facilities and fields. Coming in 2021, will be the new GHS Athletic indoor athletic complex.

Hall County Schools Athletics

Hall County Schools Athletics consists of seven high-school team sites and is home to thousands of elite athletes. The athletics program is one of the top in the state and boasts championships won in most sports offered. Dozens of facilities are dedicated to sports and can accommodate tournaments and large-scale events.

University of North Georgia – Hugh Mills P.E. Complex

The University of North Georgia Recreational Sports Department on the Gainesville campus is located in the Hugh Mills Physical Education Complex. Recreational sports on the Gainesville campus offer a variety of intramural sports, aquatics and fitness programs to help you “Get your move on!”
