City of Gainesville Tourism Office

The City of Gainesville Tourism Office plays a vital role in promoting Gainesville, Georgia as a premier destination for visitors, conferences and sporting events. This department is a well-oiled machine, with multiple divisions working together to attract and engage visitors. From the Main Street program to Lake Lanier Olympic Park, each division has a key role in ensuring Gainesville thrives as a destination. Fully funded by hotel/motel tax, the Convention and Visitors Bureau’s efforts not only boost tourism but also positively impact the local economy without burdening residents.

Robyn Lynch- Tourism Director 

Robyn Lynch is the visionary leader that has been shaping Gainesville’s tourism efforts since 2019. She oversees the Gainesville Convention and Visitors Bureau, Lake Lanier Olympic Park, Main Street Gainesville, Gainesville Welcome Center, Greater Gainesville Sports Alliance and The Boathouse at Lake Lanier Olympic Park and is dedicated to making Gainesville the best it can be. Proud mom of two, she is passionate about her community and local events. Robyn’s role as Director involves her with many diverse and thrilling experiences like hanging out with Sylvester Stallone while Tulsa King was filming on the Downtown Gainesville square and designing elements in the new 50,000 square foot Boathouse venue. You’ll often find Robyn amidst her large binders, poster size post it charts or project layouts in her office, where she’s checking off the boxes one by one!

Regina Ingebrigtsen- Convention and Visitors Bureau Sales/Marketing Manager

Regina has been with the City of Gainesville for nearly 13 years, starting out as the Main Street Manager and then taking on the role of the CVB Manager. Her focus is bringing in overnight visitors, conferences and meetings to Gainesville through unique marketing efforts. She is known in the industry for her creative and outside the box marketing that has earned the Gainesville Convention and Visitors Bureau several state wide marketing awards. Outside of work, you’ll find Regina hanging out with her beloved chickens, dirt biking, fishing, kayaking and brightening the world with her murals and paintings! One of her favorite events includes Jingle Mingle and the Lighting of the Chicken!

Lauren Shubert – Welcome Center Manager

Lauren Shubert hit the ground running with her first day in the Gainesville Tourism Office being Christmas On Green Street! Since then, she has been sharing the story of Gainesville every day by inviting visitors to the Welcome Center and engaging the community through the ExploreGainesville.org website and social media pages. Lauren is passionate about working with the Convention and Visitors Bureau’s partner attractions to encourage both visitors and locals to experience the best of what Gainesville has to offer. When she’s not posting creative reels on Facebook, Lauren loves to explore Gainesville’s sites for herself by attending community events and supporting local businesses. She’s an avid reader and aspires to open a bookstore in Gainesville one day!

Brisa Noles – Welcome Center Attendant

Brisa Noles is the friendly face behind the front desk at the Gainesville Welcome Center. She started with the City of Gainesville in 2024 and finds joy in every visitor she meets. Her passion of helping others is evident and she loves to connect with people from all over the region and even the world. Brisa was born and raised locally and she enjoys helping visitors discover things they may not have known about Gainesville! When she’s not greeting people in the Welcome Center, she can be found at some of her favorite events such as Food Truck Friday and First Friday.

Nicole Parham – Main Street Gainesville Manager

Nicole Parham has been creating excitement on the Downtown Square since 2019. Her role as Main Street Manager not only involves organizing popular events like Jingle Mingle, Mutts on Main, First Fridays and Christmas on Green Street, but also working with local businesses to ensure that Downtown Gainesville is vibrant and the heartbeat of our community. Her role also involves facilitating the Main Street Money program, façade and event grants and social media platforms. Outside of work, Nicole is enjoying life with her husband, Jordan. You may hear her singing a show tune on occasion, as she has a background in music and opera!

James Watson – Lake Lanier Olympic Park Division Manager

Meet James Watson, Division Manger at Lake Lanier Olympic Park. James oversees Lake Lanier Olympic Park, The Boathouse and the Greater Gainesville Sports Alliance. From managing park facilities to ensuring staff cohesion and meeting budget goals, James ensures that LLOP and The Boathouse remain a premier destination for recreation and events. His leadership has been pivotal in upgrading facilities and ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors from across the globe. Outside of work, James is an avid angler and enjoys deep sea fishing as well as fishing for bass on Lake Lanier!

Morgan Wingler – Lake Lanier Olympic Park Special Events Manager

Meet Morgan Wingler, the vibrant personality behind the scenes at Lake Lanier Olympic Park. She orchestrates the fun at Food Truck Fridays and the Chicken Festival, along with other fun events that take place on the plaza at LLOP. She has recently taken on the role of managing Film Ready Gainesville, which coordinates film and tv productions in Gainesville. When not busy at events, Morgan can be found belting out tunes at karaoke nights, enjoying a book or listening to her favorite artist, Taylor Swift!

Deb Gravitt – Boathouse Special Events Manager

Deb has been with the City of Gainesville for a total of 26 years in various roles, however, her current role as Special Events Manager is definitely the most exciting! Deb works with groups, wedding planners and event organizers to make their experience at The Boathouse at Lake Lanier Olympic Park the BEST! You’ll find her doing everything from giving tours to perfecting table displays for guests on their special day. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her fur babies and husband. One of her favorite places in Gainesville is the Noah’s Ark statue display located inside Memorial Park Cemetery.

Merilynn Woodfin – Boathouse Special Events Coordinator

Merilynn is the newest team member and her energy and enthusiasm fit in perfectly! Her role at The Boathouse is working with guests in the planning and details of their event. From assisting with catering needs to room layouts, Merilynn wants to make sure that each client’s event runs smoothly and successfully. She loves that each and every event is unique and different. When not at work, her family is her priority and she, her husband and two girls enjoy travel adventures!

Aaron Mullican – Boathouse Facilities Maintenance and Custodial Coordinator

Aaron is responsible for Lake Lanier Olympic Park maintenance and projects that better the park for the community! No two days are alike and that’s one of the reasons Aaron likes his job so much. You’ll often find Aaron and James on heavy equipment, moving dirt around, installing signage and making the park look incredible. When he’s not at work, you’ll find him on the lake, either paddling or teaching future canoe/kayak competitors, and spending quality time with wife and little girl.

Quinn Lambert – Boathouse Guest Experience Associate

One of the first things you’ll notice about Quinn is his smile! His role at The Boathouse and Lake Lanier Olympic Park include setting up for events and making sure everything is in tip-top shape. One of his favorite things about his job is meeting new people and learning new skills! When he’s not at work, he is an avid video gamer and loves his church.

Mckenna Kauffmann – Greater Gainesville Sports Alliance Manager

Mckenna Kauffman joined the Greater Gainesville Sports Alliance in December 2023, bringing her passion for sports to Gainesville. Her role involves maintaining the diverse sporting events happening in Gainesville and recruiting new sports in our community through providing host fees, hotel room blocks and athlete swag bags. Gainesville is quickly becoming a premier sports destination on both land and water; Mckenna’s goal being to grow this segment of the tourism market. She values athlete experiences deeply, drawing from her own time as a competitive wakeboarder who performed on the international stage. When not in the office, you’ll find Mckenna enjoying the outdoors hiking, golfing or enjoying any type of sport!
