The Northeast Georgia History Center will host Governor Nathan Deal for a special book signing of his new children’s book, Veto, the Governor’s Cat, on Tuesday, December 10th at 7 PM. This free event marks Governor Deal’s first children’s book and honors the legacy of his late wife, Sandra Deal, whose passion for literacy inspired the project.
During this "throwback" event, students and families will learn about the evolution of computer and communication technologies from the telegraph to the personal computer with guest experts and demonstrations!
On Tuesday, April 9th at 7 PM, Dr. Ben Wynne will present his latest work, A Hound Dog Tale: Big Mama, Elvis, and the Song That Changed Everything, during the Northeast Georgia History Center's next Forum Lecture!
This event will showcase historically accurate fashions of the 1800s with host and fashion historian Marie Bartlett providing historic context as models walk the runway!
